The democratic culture in Zambia is still weak & the power to influence socioeconomic development, cultural & political decisions is unevenly spread in the
population, even though Zambia is a multi-party democracy. The underrepresented groups & young people living in poverty are deprived of opportunities to
influence economic, social, cultural & political decisions even though these are issues that affect their livelihoods & future.
AAAZ seeks to to address the lack of youth & communityled participation in governance to enhance their socioeconomic, cultural & political influence in Zambia. The demographic dividend indicates that Zambia has has a youthful population 76% aged 35 years & under, hence investing in them means developing a sustainable country for the present & the future while leaving no one behind. Africa as a whole, Zambia in particular is at a cross-roads where enhancing human capacity development marks the thin line between poverty & prosperity

To promote citizen, youth and community-led accountability & participation in monitoring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) & National Development Plans (NDP) through Advocacy & Capacity Building.
Research & Evidence
Generating data, insights, and policy analysis to inform action and amplify youth voices. Conducting studies and analysis to inform policies Generating data to strengthen youth-led accountability
Awareness
We reached out to over 10,000 Youths during the first-ever National Youth Conference on SDGs & developed a youth-led monitoring & accountability framework
Advocacy
Building the capacity of youth in social Accountability, Budgeting & Service Delivery Effectiveness. Using practical methods & strategies to strengthen the capacity of citizens, youths and community members as social change agents.
